The New Matcha Flight Lineup: Guava Mango, Palisade Peach, Blue Cloud, and Lavender Matcha Lemonade

Denver’s only matcha flight just got a new lineup, and it’s the most ambitious one we’ve built yet.

If you’ve been to Vivid Minds Cafe on South Broadway, you already know the format: four ceremonial matcha tea lattes, made with stone-ground ceremonial grade matcha, served together for $14 so you can taste them side by side instead of agonizing over which one to order. It’s been the reason regulars come back on Saturdays and the reason first-timers come back the following week. This season, we rebuilt the flight around four new flavors that push further into fruit, floral, and functional territory than anything we’ve served before.

Here’s what’s new, and why we built it this way.

Guava Mango Matcha

This is the flight’s tropical anchor. Ceremonial matcha meets real guava and mango, layered so the fruit hits first and the matcha’s grassy backbone catches up right behind it. It’s bright without tipping into candy-sweet, and it’s the drink we’d hand to someone who says they “don’t really like matcha” — because what they usually mean is they’ve only had the bitter, chalky version. This isn’t that. Served over ice, it drinks like a Colorado summer afternoon that happens to also be doing something good for you.

Palisade Peach Matcha

Named for the Western Slope peaches that Colorado quietly does better than almost anywhere else in the country, this one is a tribute drink. Sweet, ripe peach folded into ceremonial matcha with a texture that leans soft and rounded rather than sharp. It’s the most nostalgic drink in the new lineup — the kind of flavor that makes you think of a farm stand, a porch, a July afternoon with nowhere to be. If you grew up anywhere near the Front Range, you’ll recognize exactly what we’re going for.

Blue Cloud (Coconut & Macadamia)

Blue Cloud has been a fan favorite in earlier forms, and this version leans further into the “functional” side of what we do. Blue spirulina turns the drink a genuinely electric, photograph-first blue — no filter needed — while coconut cream and macadamia give it a rounded, slightly nutty richness that plays beautifully against the ceremonial matcha underneath. It’s the most visually distinctive drink on the entire menu, and it tastes as intentional as it looks. Order this one last in your flight; it’s complex enough to deserve the context of everything you tasted before it.

Lavender Matcha Lemonade

This is the wildcard, and it might be the one that surprises you most. Instead of building on milk, this matcha goes lemonade-forward: bright, tart citrus meeting a soft float of lavender and the earthy lift of ceremonial matcha underneath. It’s the lightest drink in the flight, the one that drinks more like a spritz than a latte, and the natural palate cleanser between the richer flavors around it. If you’ve had our lavender CBD latte before, this is its warm-weather cousin — same floral character, completely different body.

Why We Rebuilt the Flight This Way

Every matcha flight we’ve built has followed the same logic: give people a reference point, a fruit-forward option, a floral or textural surprise, and something functional and photograph-worthy. This lineup does all four, but it does it with more range than before — tropical, stone fruit, coconut-and-spirulina richness, and a lavender lemonade that isn’t really like anything else on the menu. Taste them in that order — Guava Mango, then Palisade Peach, then Lavender Matcha Lemonade, then Blue Cloud last — and you’ll notice the progression: fruit, nostalgia, brightness, then complexity. That’s not an accident. It’s the same logic behind our suggested Classic-Mirage-Huckleberry-Blue Cloud flight, applied to a completely new set of flavors.

As always, ceremonial grade, stone-ground matcha is the constant underneath all four. That’s the part that doesn’t change no matter how far we push the flavor pairings. The matcha isn’t a background note here — it’s the thing everything else is built around.

How to Order It

The new flight works exactly like the old one: walk in, choose any four matcha drinks from the full matcha menu, and they’ll come out together so you can compare them, photograph them, and drink them in whatever order you want. $14 for all four. If you want our recommendation, follow the tasting order above — but honestly, half the fun of a flight is deciding for yourself.

Where to Drink It

Take your flight straight to the patio. At 1,200 square feet, it’s the largest outdoor café space in the Baker neighborhood, it’s dog-friendly, it has free WiFi, and there is genuinely no better backdrop for four different colored matcha drinks lined up in a row than the Colorado sky. Order at the counter, find a table outside, and take your time.

You’ll find us at 1545 S Broadway, Denver, CO 80210, open daily from 7:30am to 6pm. Come try the new lineup — and let us know which four end up becoming your regular order.
